EC Applications Development

The following figure depicts the EC applications development process.  The process consists of two phases:

  • The Planning Phase involves an analysis of the organization's internal and external environment to define the EC Mission and Strategy to achieve this mission.  The planning phase results in the creation of the Electronic Commerce Plan (ECP).).
  • In the Design Phase, the specific applications comprising the website are developed, tested and implemented.
