Applications of Electronic Commerce

Organizations have applied EC technologies in countless ways.  Yet, two common questions are:

• What are typical applications of EC
• What is the value of these applications to the Organization?

In this section, we will address these two questions.  A framework for classifying EC applications is discussed, along with examples of applications that fit into this framework.  In addition, the value of these applications to organizations is explored.
